MEDICAL CANNABIS INITIATIVE

The original group of single moms that started Poverty Resistance also worked to support other single moms.

It became clear that low income folks need to become more involved in advocating for their own interests rather than waiting for the powers-that-be to come to their rescue.

Supporting the petition initiatives to legalize cannabis for medical use and reducing criminal penalties for possession of small amounts of the drug is one of many projects taken up over the
years.

Many of the Food Pantry patrons have medical issues in a state that has scant medical care available for low income folks.

Petitions are available at the pantry for registered voters to sign. Contact us to learn more.
